Our comprehensive dental care practice - located in Taylor MI for over 30 years - concentrates on family and cosmetic dentistry. Our dental team members are extremely experienced and knowledgeable about dental health and all dental procedures such as Lumineers, Snap-On Smile, porcelain veneers, dental implants, teeth whitening, and permanent crowns and bridges. Dr. Shwedel

Dr. Steven Shwedel graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, GA in 1972, and has been practicing in Taylor for over 30 years. He is well known in the Taylor area for the quality of his dental work and the superb service he and his staff provide to all patients. Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Shwedel has kept up to date by taking many continuing education classes every year, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive dental care. He is committed to offering patients the most advanced techniques and best materials in dentistry. The office is equipped with state of the art technology set in a warm, friendly, relaxed environment.

Dr. Shwedel graduated from Emory University School of Dentistry. Afterwards, he completed a General Practice Residency in Advanced Dental Techniques at Sinai Hospital of Detroit.

Dr. Shwedel and his wife Joyce have three children. Dr. Shwedel enjoys traveling and scuba diving. Many of his diving trips are family affairs with his children joining him. His office showcases photos of the sea life he has encountered on his dives. Truly a sight worth seeing.

Dr. Shwedel is very involved in the Taylor Community. He participates in local Health Fairs, the Family Enrichment Fair with the Taylor Schools, Turn Off the Violence with the Taylor Rotary and Fishes and Loaves (a community food pantry). On Saturday September 24, 2011, Dr. Shwedel will be hosting the 3rd annual "Dentistry from the Heart." It will be an event offering free dentistry to anyone in need.

Dr. Okonkowski

Dr. Caroline Fraser Okonkowski graduated from University of Montreal, Canada in 2002. She then completed an Advanced Clinical Education (ACE) in General Dentistry at University Laval, Quebec. She has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry since 2003. She is strongly devoted to offer an exceptional dental experience to all of her patients, by giving them the knowledge and education to keep their teeth for a lifetime, one smile at a time. She is an active proponent of post-graduate continuing education while committed to staying current with the quickly advancing new technologies in dentistry. She provides her patients with the latest state of the art dentistry in a caring and compassionate environment.

She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and American Dental Association. Dr. Okonkowski is married, has a beautiful baby girl and enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, hiking and skiing. She also speaks French fluently.

Dr. Okonkowski is very involved in the Taylor Community and co-hosted our "Dentistry From the Heart" event which provided free dental treatment to anyone in need. She is looking forward to our 3rd Annual "Dentistry From the Heart" event on Saturday, September 24, 2011.
